FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When is efbX launching?

An announcement will be made at FlightSimExpo 2026. More dates will be shared soon.

Is it only for iOS?

Not at all - efbX is multi-platform and not just for Apple users. As long as your device is smart it'll work, so if you are an Android user, Apple user or prefer to only run it on your PC, you can enjoy efbX too!

Do I need a tablet?

No - efbX is designed for desktop, tablet and mobile devices across your local network, we thoroughly recommend one though, it makes it so much better!

Will there be beta access?

Yes. Closed beta access requests will open later in the development journey.

How much will efbX cost?

Installing and running efbX is completely free of charge. We also provide a selection of free "starter" apps to get you started. However, some apps available in the efbX App Store may come with a cost or require in-app purchases.

Since many apps in the App Store are developed by third parties, we cannot predict their pricing. The amount you choose to spend on additional apps will depend entirely on your preferences and needs.

Which sims are supported?

We officially support MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Prepar3D also works in many areas, however we do not guarantee compatibility.

With that said, efbX is a standalone product and will still run without sim connectivity, so you can still use it if you are not using one of our supported sims. X-Plane compatibility is planned post-release.

Will it include charts?

Due to licencing issues, charts will be supported in a limited capacity, however, talks are ongoing with a 3rd party and this will hopefully be implemented at a later date.

Katie, developer of efbX
About the developer

Built by a real-world Airbus captain.

Hey! I’m Katie, also known as KatiePilot, the developer behind efbX. I’ve been flying commercially for nearly a decade and have spent the last six years developing in the flight simulation space.

You may have come across some of my past work on the Fenix A320, iniBuilds A310, and through other utilities I’ve made over the years.

I kept noticing the same problem in flight sim: we’re missing the very tools I rely on every single day when flying for real. As more people now fly with dedicated hardware, yokes, throttles, and full cockpit setups, interacting with tiny in-game tablets feels more limiting than ever.

So I created efbX - something designed to help all of us enjoy the sim more, while bringing it one step closer to the realities of real-world flying.

I really hope you enjoy it. Katie signature
